We were doing a little bar hoping and our friend from San Francisco suggested we stop in here. It's a cool place with a throw back from an earlier error. We got our drinks at the bar and went upstairs. The upstairs had very old...More

Another great local watering hole in North Beach. The room was cool and eclectic. The beer was tasty and the staff was fine. Noting bad to say about the place but no "WOW" factor to give it a 5 star rating.

A bar for everyone it is not. Vesuvio is a bit dingy and cluttered, pretty much a dive. But despite it being so well-known it is not a pretentious place at all. We were there on a weekday afternoon - not crowded at all. So,...More

Great place to have few drinks before a dinner in North Beach, the mezzanine floor is awesome and the style of this old bar creates an unique atmosphere.
