Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
Hi- sorry about the delay- I just saw yr question! No- you bike under the bridge. I hired a bike the day before, from fishermans wharf & biked over the bridge- very easy & you don't need to pay for a tour.
Hey Greg - if you're able to go, it's fantastic. It is on the streets, but predominantly in bike paths. Safety-wise if your kids are pretty savvy it should be fine just go behind them and make sure you've got a yelled out... More
Hey Greg - if you're able to go, it's fantastic. It is on the streets, but predominantly in bike paths. Safety-wise if your kids are pretty savvy it should be fine just go behind them and make sure you've got a yelled out word for STOP :-). Again if you're into bike/hike then definitely recommend Angel Island if it's a good weather day. You can just decide on the day, catch the ferry there and back.
