Visited this shrine to St. Francis of Assisi. It was wonderful and beautiful. Love the reproduction of the little church inside this shrine. Visit this church while in SF

A wonderful old San Francisco gem! Visit. They built a small chapel next door in 7/8 scale called the Portziuncula, an exact but scale replica of the one in Assisi built by Saint Francis himself. This church has gorgeous paintings inside and the Mass is...More

When I travel abroad, I always find a cathedral for a few reasons, for peace, culture, and to prey. This shrine to St Francis is amazing. It's beautiful, quiet, the stained glass tells stories. It's definitely worth a visit.

A little gem of 19th century taste in the middle of a busy intersection. Quiet and gleaming white aisles allow you to imagine what it was like here 150 years ago.

A beautiful building, which provides sanctuary from the city outside. Worth visiting if you are in this area.

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
