Alcatraz was sold out so we had to book Angel Island as a combo tour. Beautiful island with lots of history but the bees and flies were very bothersome. Also we were in a time crunch and this trip cut short our allotted time to...More

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It was clearly a money grab to package both Alcatraz and Angel together. Very dull tour and too much time spent hanging around waiting for boat rides.

We went to Angel Island simply beacaue it was included in the San Francisco Go Pass and the ferry service was free. After our visit we would have paid big to go to the island which in addition to military/historical significance has numerous biking and...More

We have been to San Francisco many times, never thought about visiting Angel Island. We took our bikes on the ferry to the island. It was great! Not an easy ride as there are some difficult hills, however we got to see the entire island,...More

Would recommend spending the whole day at Angel Island if you can. We went on a combined ticket with an Alcatraz ticket and therefore only had a couple of hours, but included an open bus/tram trip around the island with an entertaining commentary (although too...More

We visited this place as a part of Alcatraz tour. It is quite nice, unspoilt and off the tourists radar.

You can come here on the ferry, or as part of the Alcatraz combo. I made sure this was included in our day as there is a lot of history here. The tram ride (less than 1 hour) takes you around the island. Our guide...More

The Tram we rode was designated for the people that were part of the Alcatraz tour only. Granted that tour is seasonal for the summer months and maybe the Trams are used for other reasons outside of that time. But all the... More
