Treasure Island has finally gotten under my skin but in a good way! Its got some incredible views, good brews, and nice walks and on a nice day its just a great place to relax:)

Visited Treasure Island as part of bus night tour. Fantastic views of city. Worth the trip to see San Fran from across the bay. nothing else there but for porta johns.

Go at night for great views of SF in all it's lit up glory. Free to park and easy in and out. Exit is to the left when traveling from SF.

Since that experience happened so long ago , last fall I drove to the island just to remind myself of the Navy experience. Everything had changed and it was now just a nice place to visit, but no Navy stuff anymore. The views of S.F....More

Take the bus over the western part of the Bay Bridge from the Transbay Terminal. Go on a weekday when the Building 1 is open. Walk over towards the secluded marina, and pick your choice of beer garden (with sand beach) or wine garden. Nice...More

Coming from SF, the exit will be on your left. So, stay in the left lane and slow down when you exit. It is a sharp and short curve !!!

The Military base was decommissioned in 1997 and the island returned to San Fransisco. Many of the old base structures are still standing and have been re-purposed into other businesses. You can drive all over the island now... More
