We visited San Francisco in December and still found blooming plants in the Park. We loved walking through the Park and visiting the gardens even though the day was cloudy with periods of light rain.

Great park, different vibe but think quality and size similar to NY Central Park. Lots to see and to do with beautiful trees, gardens and museums. Easily spend an entire day here or make several trips here if you are in SF for several days.

I visited the Science Museum, de Young Museum, Conservatory of flowers and Butterfly house and could have seen more if not for time constraints.

We took a tour bus through the park. To be honest I think it would be hard to know where to go if you didn't know the park. Definitely do some research of what's there before heading in yourself. Lots of history and gardens and beauty. Looks like lots of locals use the park for exercise and fun. Gardens were... More

Come and savor the sunshine in this iconic San Francisco Park. Stroll the park and enjoy lush greenery. Stop by and admire the wedding couples being married by the greenhouse. Walk farther towards the water and checkout a beautiful man-made waterfall. The park is brimming with locals so do stop by to see a true slice of the San Francisco... More

So much to see, so little time. We walked the trails and grassy areas for hours. There seems to be no end to the beauty and versatility of this park. We took public transportation from the Fisherman's Wharf area and had no problems. If you're able, take the time to walk around Strawberry Hill - its worth it.

One has many options to enjoy this very large (if not huge) area - by car, by foot, bike, etc. Differently themed gardens in one spot, each with historic features & unique design. I recognized some of the landscape & structures featured in movies. On a sunny day, would be a great place to have picnics. Well maintained, clean, beautiful.... More
