These four hours taking pictures and learning more about my hometown, San Francisco, gave me a deeper insight of what my city has to offer not only to tourists, but also to its residents. Brawlio's photography lesson along the tour was not only dynamic, but also practical in getting pictures I never thought I could take! With Brawlio's class I... More

A friend of mine told me about this tour a few days after i purchased my new digital camera. I thought it would be an original way to discover how to handle my new toy and also I had been living in SF for a little while now but never really got the chance to learn about the little facts... More

During this tour led by Brawlio Elias, I learned new things about my camera even though I am an intermediate photographer. I also learned more about the city, something I didn't think would happen. We went places I had never been before. We even saw a Banksy mural. So as an intermediate photographer, Brawlio taught us the skill of motion... More

This is a photo-tour, I am learning more about photography while discovering the rich elements and view of San Francisco. We started the tour in Porstmouth Square, a part of China town. I was thinking if I was really in America…I mean, Chinese are everywhere and the Architectural character of the building nearby are predominantly Chinese, with its popular roof... More

Angel (JR) Cintron was very instructive in showing me how to zoom, focus and make clear foreground objects. Jr also taught me about use of light when taking a photo. I am a beginner at this and this was my first-time in the company of a phoography instuctor. Jr has good teaching and mentoring skills and he should become a... More

I am a student of photography and had recently joined the tour of SF landmark areas given by tour guide Angel JR. It was an eye opener as I live in SF and thought I knew just about every spot in the city. JR provided insight to using the camera and some historical perspective where you were shooting. I found... I have never been on a photo tour before, but without having anything to compare it to I ended up leaving really impressed. I enjoyed that there was a specific path that showed specific examples of techniques. I would take this tour again or any similar to it, and I would definitely refer Angel Cintron again. He was very thorough... More

It was a pleasure taking the SF tour with Angel Cintron. I have had my camera for quite a while, but never took a class. I learned so much about focus and depth of field I know my photo's from this point on will be better composed with the focus on where I want it to be.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
