Rick is an excellent guide and takes you to the "off beaten path" of Chinatown. Definitely recommend if you are a lover of history and enjoy learning about culture. One of the highlights of our trip. Wear your walking shoes--easy walking but lots of it.

This is a great tour with so many interesting facts. You really need to do this tour early in your trip. We did it on our last day straight after Rick's architecture tour and found out about things we would love to have followed up on (herbalist and the live markets on Stockton) but had no chance. Rick gives you... More

We have been on his Arch. Walking Tour, which was fabulous, and now just this afternoon went on his Chinatown walking tour. It was even more interesting, if that is possible. It was a small intimate group of 7. We lived in the city years ago and thought we knew it. Rick is obviously passionate about SF and it's fascinating... More

Rick was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. He helped our small group discover the city's architectural treasures including the worlds first glass curtain wall and introduced me to the concept of popos and how to find them. I will definitely be visiting San Fran again because of what I learnt on Rick's tour.

My wife and I and our two teenage kids went on Rick Evans' walking tour of Chinatown, and all of us loved it. We were joined by one other man for a total of five in the group. The tour started at 2:00pm outside the Chinatown Gates and proceeded all over Chinatown, visiting historical sites important to the original pioneers,... More

I've lived in the bay area for over a year and have walked down Grant Avenue more than 100 times. I never knew what lay behind that wonderful street. The homes, the shops, the clubs, restaurants, the churches and temples, and so much more. Rick takes you effortlessly through streets and alleys and exposes you to a Chinatown you never... More
