Beautiful church!

Atmosphere was quite and comfortable. Pews weren't crowded. Sound was easy to understand. Priest was welcoming. Friendly.

This Historical Landmark was right next door to our hotel! Beautiful statues and windows. I attended the Mass there early Sunday morning --a more traditional service than my parish back home but very nice nonetheless.

We love this church, a "throw back" to the way churches used to be built. Very traditional and peaceful to sit and reflect or attend a mass.

A peaceful and serene church. Gorgeous architecture, stained glass windows, and sculptures. A wonderful place to say some prayers and enjoy the quiet.

This church has very old design. It creates very good contrast benween old church and new modern gray scyscrapers.

This parish originally serviced the Irish who came West with the Gold Rush back in the 1850s. It was rebuilt after the 1906 earthquake and survives to this day. it has a lot of stained glass windows and side altars and statues. This is a very serene place in the middle of a lot of big city hubbub. Stop by... More

St. Patrick's is just one block from the Moscone Convention Center and right next door to the large Marriott hotel. The main entrance if on Mission, but the back entrance opens up to a small alleyway full of shops and restaurants. Today, the church serves a predominantly Philippino community, and the fervent faithful make the experience of attending mass all... More

One of the most beautiful churches I have seen, very kind members and staff alike. A must see for those who appreciate art and architecture.

The church seems very out of place, but that's what adds to its beauty. In San Francisco you don't see a lot of brick structures. See this structure now before it crumbles during the next earthquake. Someday I'll go inside take a look and take some photos.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
