The four kids ages 9 - 14 got so much more out of is that we five adults could have imagined. The highlight of the kids entire San Francisco visit was the tea tasting (which tied in their opinion with The Lion King). They went home, drank tea and talked about ying and yang. Our jaws dropped. Our guide, Jim... More

It's not easy to impress four kids ages 9-14, but Jim Adams is an exceptional tour guide and your positive review supports his great tours. Thanks for the detailed descriptions of what your party found so memorable: the tea tasting, Chinatown's history, the temple, and everybody's favorite, the fortune cookie factory. The cookie factory and the tea shop are open... More

I took my middle school students on this tour and they absolutely loved it! We started out with a delicious lunch. Next, Linda Lee- who has a bubbly, fun personality showed us and told us all about the history of Chinatown. She is full of knowledge!

Beth: If we can entertain and educate your middle school students, and in addition, make them happy with good food, we have created an excellent field trip for your students to look back on with fond memories. Thank you for your positive review and we hope to see your students visit Chinatown in the future. More

Wanted to get some exercise and education in an activity that would appeal to our 2 teenagers. The tour exceeded our expectations for attractions of interest. We lived in San Francisco a couple years (many years ago) yet this tour gave us a whole different appreciation for the history and community of the neighborhood. It was especially fascinating to visit... More

While Chinatown is one of San Francisco's popular tourist destinations, it is a community of stores, institutions, and residents. I'm glad you felt welcome in the my hood! More

We had a wonderful time and learned so much. My mom can walk with cane and enjoys having her wheel chair handy when tired. Linda was very helpful in picking a safe waking path for my mom and asked the community in chinese to make room for the wheelchair. Thanks for helping with the wheel chair and being so accommodating... More

I'm glad you both had a wonderful time and learned a lot. Chinatown is full of history and culture and is accessible for all. With a little patience to navigate busy streets and some slight hills, the best way to visit Chinatown is by walking and can be visited in a wheelchair as well. Happy holidays to you both! More

This tour was so much fun. We took our 11 year old daughter, who leaned in to me at one point during the tour and said "I'm so glad we did this. I'm learning so much!" Linda was the perfect mix of history, current events and humor. This was probably my favorite activity of our trip!

Linda Lee was a fun and with lots of interesting information and places to see. Her local knowledge and friendly manner really made this tour extra special. Hi Meleese: We were lucky that the frogs were so lively when we strolled through the grocery store. Most of the time, they are rather calm. Perhaps they are aware of their fate and want to spend their last hours hanging out with their buddies. :) Thank you for visiting Chinatown with us and your positive review. More

Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
