Our first west coast outpost, bliss San Francisco is located on the fourth floor of the super-chic W San Francisco. Boasting 5,000 square feet of tension-fighting facilities, bliss San Francisco features a retail boutique, three movie-while-you-manicure nail stations, nine treatment rooms, and men's and women's lounges with adjoining outdoor escapes. The space also showcases bliss trademark touches, including a cleverly compiled menu of super effective services, rhythm and blues tunes, and our legendary brownie buffet. Bliss San Francisco offers superior 'spa-ing', 'BIP' status and priority booking to hotel guests as part of the brilliant bliss-W mix.

Great last minute massage

This is the fourth time I visited Bliss Spa and I had a fantastic massage. I booked last minute online with no problem. Although the ambiance is not a truly spa-like one, all of... read more

With less than an hour notice they called me to push my appointment back because another client showed up late. Sorry, but that time should have come from their time for showing up late, not mine. If you want a spa that has zero respect for your time, Bliss is a great choice. But if you instead want a spa... More

This is the fourth time I visited Bliss Spa and I had a fantastic massage. I booked last minute online with no problem. Although the ambiance is not a truly spa-like one, all of the therapists who worked on me was really good and i felt that I got what I paid for. Whenever I am in town, i will... More

Found an amazing deal for foot treatment and massage plus Bliss product credit. I work in the downtown area so it was a great respite in the afternoon. The women's locker room is tiny but to be expected. One of the two steam showers was out of order, bummer. There is a sauna in the locker room too. Nice treats... More

Went for a pedicure with adult daughter. Technician - Annie was terrific and very skilled. Pedicure chair is not the most comfortable but the actual pedicure was exceptional. Clean facility and you know the tools are sterilized! My daughter also had a facial with Liz and she had helpful tips and was very good as well. Small locker area but... More

I didn't really like Bliss @ NYC but decided to try the San Fran one and was pleasantly surprised (maybe because of all the poor reviews online I had low expectations). The place was clean, service was good (love the smell of the Bliss products and the Blissage 75 was lovely - very relaxing and exactly what i needed (the... More

My Daughter treated me to a massage for my birthday. She got a Groupon special. We had 90 minute massage. We were psyched! The place was nice. It offers a steam shower, sauna, a small lounge with cheeses and crackers and a few sweets. I tried not to notice the stains on the cloth benches and a few other spots... More

I love Bliss products. But the Spa in SF is an abomination. Bliss San Francisco is the worst experience I've (We've) ever had at a Spa. I wish I had more hands, so I could give them 4 thumbs down. We escaped to the 'W' SF for a weekend in Sept 2012. Got childcare for our 17 month old. We're... More

Bliss is a huge sculpture of a female situated on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay. Even though we went on an overcast, cold day and no one was about, it didn't deter from the awesomeness of this sculpture. It is absolutely huge and quite a sight to see. In the evening it is lit up which gives it a... More

I went there twice for a massage, and the massage itself was fantastic. However, the first time I went there was a mix-up in the booking (which they admitted) so my massage and my partner's facial both started 10 minutes late. That would have been fine if they'd made it up at the end, but they wouldn't. So, I thought,... More

I went to Bliss at the Hotel W in San Francisco because I had won a gift certificate for the Blissage 75 massage. I reserved a time and date a little more than a month ahead of time and was quite satisfied with the no-hassle reservation process over the phone. They provided information and explained anything I didn't understand. They... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
