The cost of freedom is on display in this beautifully manicurred cemetary. There is a catalog of those enshrined at Antietam and an easy to follow map on site.

It's really incredible to see the number of soldiers that have given their life for the cause of their country. Spend a few minutes to see the cemetery, it is beautifully laid out.

Oh how I would love to be laid to rest here at this site. It is a most peaceful and beautiful spot surrounded by Antietam National Battlefield. Pictures here do not give justice to the serene and tranquil feeling you get when visiting.

This was a very humbling visit. I would recommend a stop during the battlefield driving tour. This is a very quiet and respectful area.
