We walked many sections of Appalachian Trail in several states and majority of areas -if not all - are truly beautiful. In Harpers Ferry the Appalachian trail visits the town and for the long distance hikers it is a customary stop for rest, supplies and...More

Wife and I have been on 10 different parts of this famous trail. Each section is different and unique, as is this section with great views of the Shenandoah River.

It's a really interesting place to go into, and you meet all kinds of people from pretty much all over. If you are planning on hiking the Appalachian trail, or even parts of it, you should stop by here.

My husband & I were visiting Harper's Ferry and while walking about, we did some walking on the Appalachian Trail. Not much but hey, now we can say we hiked it, right! The whole area is very beautiful.
