Ashley Pond Park is gorgeous with beautiful, natural landscaping and artistic statues throughout. Also, historical info everywhere. You could enjoy 1/2 day there easily. And, the city has a Friday night big event May through Sept....

They have taken a lonely old pond ( according to old photos ) and turned it into a showcase park. There is an concert area, places for picnics, lovely sculptures and beautiful flowers. One of the loveliest city parks we have seen.

Ashley Pond Park is a cute little park opposite the Comfort Inn Hotel where we stayed. The Pond is beautiful with some little ducks. Very clean and conducive to walk. There are lot of benches for you to sit and relax. You will not be disappointed.

The city of Los Alamos has done a terrific job keeping Ashley Pond as part of the history of the town and creating a park around it.

December 26th the pond was partially iced over, but the waterfowl did not care. There is a walking path around this smallish pond and there are benches to sit on to enjoy the area.
