My fly fishing buddies, my spouse, and I have been staying at The Bighorn Trout Shop, and fishing with their guides for over 25 years - almost every year and often two or three times a year. It was very good and first, and keeps getting better every year. The owners, the guides, and the staff are extremely friendly and... More

With a suggestion from friends who live locally we opted to fulfill all of our fly fishing needs here. They were correct! Lots of inventory from flies, to rods, to reels, to clothing and souvenirs. We got our shuttle through this shop as well as our licenses. We'll definitely be back again!

A group of fishing buddies stayed in one of the houses in town. It's a modular home in a Ft. Smith neighborhood. ie. just the next house on the street. Kind of feels like you are a local. The place was very nice, clean and well stocked in the kitchen. Had a deck with a grill that was very nice... More

Before hitting the river, stop in for all the latest updates on the Little Bug Horn. Stock up on flys, snacks, drinks (non alcoholic), and fly fishing. You can rent drift boats or secure a guide here (suggest doing so well in advance). Well informed and competent staff and well equipped fly shop. A must do stop if you plan... More

The Big Horn Trout Shop offers very nice accommodations, nothing too fancy, but clean and quiet. Their set-up is very efficient with the dining room close to the cabin rooms. The guides are great. Our guide for our float was Dante Bonanini, and he was excellent knowing exactly how subtle the trout strikes really are. The dining menus are limited... More

You have a fairly large assortment of choices for fly shops in the Ft Smith area around the Big Horn. I have found that for my needs the Bighorn Trout Shop is the best. They have a knowledgeable staff, a great selection and some great advice for those fishing the area. They have a good selection of guides, the fly... More

The fishing here is awesome. My son and I went out with Shawn McClure guide #23838 I would highly recommend requesting this awesome guy! He has a lot of passion and knows how to put you on the fish. Support this military veteran and request him for your next fishing trip. He truly cares about your experience and knows the... More

Been staying at the BHTS for a few days most every year for the last 20 years. Best accommodations in Fort Smith. Very good food, nice facility, fully equipped fly shop with every imaginable item a fly fisher might need, comfortable rooms and right on the main street through Ft Smith so you can't miss it. Large restaurant style dining... More

We stayed four nights at the Bighorn Trout Shop. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We had satellite TV and free WiFi. We ate at the Trout Shop one night and had a good meal. The best part of our visit was the friendliness os the staff. We hired a guide and floated the top thirteen miles of the... More

Have been here two times in 2010 and 2011 , both in July. Excellent rooms that are comfortable and easy access to trout fishing. Food was home made and very good. Fishing guides are the best you will find in the area. Caught several fish each day. They know the river like the back of their hand. You won't be... More
