Many of the Aspens had started to turn to their falls colors...beautiful views. Several large ranches along the country side, which were beautiful also.

Drive in and out on the same road. Towards the end not for the faint of heart. Some places it is a single lane road with a drop off. Which means that you might have to back up. Also no low riding cars. Basically all...More

The Black Canyons of the Gunnison is impressive black rocks with bursts of diamonds(silica) in them that really glitter when the sun strikes them. It costs $15 or you need a National Park pass.

We were in a Jeep so were not intimidated by some of the rougher roads. We saw pickups, Subaru's, and even one VW Bug on our trip. This is a must see for anyone who loves the outdoors. Most of the roads are very passable....More

Beautiful vistas and short hikes to amazing views. Bring water and pack a lunch! There are great spots to eat lunch and just soak up the outdoors.

Nice forest really beautiful, would like to see in the fall. Monarch Pass is a really nice pass to drive and very scenic

Central Colorado's Western Slope. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, wild life, and high altitude. Not for the timid, but a real treat for high mountains types.
