Although not a destination for our Boston trip, it was a nice break to walk through all the trees and green space. Many activities were occurring (weddings, ballgames, curious visitors looking for the Freedom Walk, and many folks just taking in the beautiful fall weather)....More

We didn't walk as much as we could have. This area is one to contract with other tourist things to do. Market to buy food for trip is right there with helpful staff.

Okay, its the oldest park in America and it sits right below the statehouse. We ended our Freedom Trail walk here and arrived right before it began to get dark. The park is very open, good for kids to run on grassy areas or play...More

The park is well used but interesting to go to. The freedom trail goes through it a couple of times but it seems to be well used by people other than those wandering along the trail

We walked though the common and it was pleasant enough, nothing really going on there, even bough it was a Sunday the squirrels were fun to watch and quite tame, did not run off, we saw one person feeding them

This is the oldest public park in the country. I have been here hundreds of times and it is always wonderful. The people are friendly. the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Great place for a romantic stroll. When in Boston a must see.

Love it when cities keep green areas. And this is large and green but even better, very interestingly historic - a part of the Boston Freedom Trail. A big bonus is that it's right next to the Public Garden.

Beautiful place. Could have spend all day there if I had the time. Do not miss if you ever visit Boston.

Very litter effort was put into this space. Great location and you can always find a random Boston or Harvard t-shirt for sale or maybe go for a run if you visiting the area or to attend some kind of rally.

That area will be busy with people going to work, so it should be safe.
