I discovered last night the Boston Pops. A colleague recommended it and managed to get a ticket on the day. I had no idea what an absolute pleasure it would be to hear such good music in such beautiful setting. An additional treat was that they were recording live for a new cd which I would definitely buy. Don't miss... More

I bought my seats early for the December 15 Holiday Pops and was in the center of the balcony. Great seat, show, acoustics, orchestra and chorus. Great song selection and the chorus participation in the like no other rendition of 12 Days of Christmas was very funny and really added a lot to it. I can't wait to go back... More

Every holiday season we look forward to attending the Holiday Pops' Christmas concert- one of the season's joys for us. It's almost as Christmas is not complete without the sights and sounds of the Holiday Pops.

The Pops is a tradition with many families, with mine being one of them. No matter what, they always seem to make a point of putting the Pops on the agenda during the Holidays. We have tried the balcony, the floor, moved around for best vantage, but I seem to like the balcony best. The floor seems to be getting... More

The Pops put on a great show, and this year was no exception. Music was thoroughly enjoyable and the treatment of "Twelve Days of Christmas" was freshly creative. While the musicians were great, conductor Lockhart's narrative was flat, sounding very canned and impersonal.

Our grown children started giving us tickets to the Holiday Pops years ago - and it's one of our nicest Christmas traditions. They love it, too, because if they're in the area, they come along! Maestro Keith Lockhart, the Pops orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus NEVER disappoint. The music ranges from traditional, to classical, to contemporary - and, with... More

Dont every miss POPS. The Christmas concerts are fabulous, but all performances are worth attending. Fun environment with snacks and liquid refreshments at your table (NOT typical concert seating except in the balconies)

We saw The Boston Pops on 12/9 at their 4:00 performance. We try to go every year because they never disappoint to put us in the holiday spirit. The music is stellar, stage is decorated beautifully. I will suggest sitting on the floor with a table. Wait staff will serve you drinks and snacks from a very limited menu, but... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
