Me and my friends signed up for this photowalk of Beacon Hill. There were only two of us, but we thought there would be alot more. We got almost a private tour of the neighbourhood and the instructor was very helpful in showing us how best to take pictures and to point out exciting views. I have not yet put... More

Saba provided an excellent combination of history and photography on the Freedom Trail tour. Entertaining and informative, she knows both subjects well from details of Paul Revere's ride to showing a spot where four different centuries of buildings can be seen. Often, these types of tours are stronger on history or photography, depending on the guide, but Saba made the... More

My wife and I both like to take photos. We each have decent cameras, and enjoy learing. Saba's tour provides both! Her historic commentary, coupled with guidance on photo shots, how to arrange, technical tips (all while being helpful and upbeat) was wonderful. The tour took a couple of hours, and we walked along at a very comfortable rate. There... More

My husband and I took Saba's Freedom Trail tour on our visit to Boston. Saba was wonderful, giving us ideas about taking interesting photos, as well as, telling us about the history along the Freedom Trail. The day was perfect for taking pictures and with Saba's suggestions we came home with many wonderful photo memories!

I recently took the tour of Beacon Hill with Saba. It was a wonderful experience. She provided great examples of pictures to take and provided lots of history of the area. Overall it was a great experience and hope to come back to Boston to enjoy another walking tour :)

We loved this tour - Saba was an excellent guide and since we were a small group all together - was very accommodating in showing us things that particularly interested us (such as where JFK proposed to Jackie :) ) The photos that I took on this walk are some of my best ever, thanks to her guidance and we... I've done the Public Garden, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and now, the nightime Zakim Bridge tour. All were awesome! Saba is a master at composition, and knows just how to frame, and where to set up the perfect photo. She will assist you with finding the right settings for your camera so that your photos look as professional as hers.... More

I loved this tour. It combines all the things I enjoy - walking, history and taking photos. Saba is a great guide and caters to all levels of experience. Doesn't matter if you have a complicated expensive camera or a phone. I did the Freedom Trail tour, which I highly recommend, and I'm hoping to squeeze in another before I... More

My son and I recently received digital SLR cameras as gift. We took the Freedom Trail tour. We are beginners. Immediately Saba showed us the best settings for a cloudy day. She advised us how to compose and line up photographs and gave us tips on how to use depth-of-field and shutter priorities. She gave us tips about indoor shooting... More

My sister and I were recently in Boston and were excited to explore this great and historic city. I am a real camera buff, so I was pleased to learn of this PhotoWalk tour that would allow us to absorb the sites on foot and get tips on capturing them with our cameras. The day that we went on this... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
