We went on a Saturday in which there was about a 45 minute (outside) wait to get in. If you did a tour there was the possibility of bypassing this line. Place is big with a good beer selection and some cool flight options. Tables are first come but the wait staff was efficient and friendly. Home made pretzels were... More

Stopped into Harpoon's while visiting Boston and the Boston Marathon this year. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Loved having Jacob as our server - he had the perfect beer choice for each of us. The pretzels are to die for!!! Thanks Harpoon and Jacob for making our visit Boston the best!

Came to Harpoon to take the brewery tour. Very informative and fun tour...with a nice amount of sampling done before it ended. The beer "hall" was an experience as well - sitting on long tables & benches with other people. You must try the pretzels (made with their beer) - we had salted with dipping sauces (bacon ranch was not... More

Harpoon Boston has a huge beer hall and bar! The wait at the bar can be lengthy as it is where everyone heads. There is a small service bar in the back that you can get served a lot quicker! The pretzels look amazing. You can make reservations or get in line. There is limited free parking. Add it to... More

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION or GO EARLY and be PREPARED TO WAIT. the place gets packed with beer connoisseurs. Once you have your tour time, go and they will be ready for you. They take you around then to this inside bar for the tasting and then back out to the hall. We had the UFO and Blond... More

I am a brewery master. Every city, every brewery is my goal. I loved Harpoon because it is a such a cool hang-out spot. Long communal-style tables, plenty of bar space, and great beer! Lots of different varieties on tap, plus sampler options. Great place just to chill and enjoy and try good local beer. Limited good- but they do... More

What a great afternoon! We live Ed the beer hall and brewery tour! Great friendly staff and lots of great beer on the tour. A unique activity if you are in Boston, recommend a cab as it is a good walk from public transportation.

I was visiting some friends in Boston and we wanted to do a brewery tour. Brewery tours are very popular in Boston because they have so many breweries in the area. We decided on Harpoon because it is popular and it is only $5 for the tour! We learned a lot on the tour and at the end, we had... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
