This tony neighborhood--one of the two most expensive residential areas in Boston--started as a bay. The bay was filled in during the 19th century to create the area now known by the name Back Bay. The area is known for its Victorian brownstones, the Boston Public Library, shopping, office high rises and upscale hotels.

Back Bay Boston is college town at its best. If you want to feel the energy of being surrounded by young people who are moving and shaking intellectually, then visit Back Bay Boston. The vibe is just so positive - its contagious!

It's a metropolitan location, with amenities, services, great lodging, good access to transportation. And Fenway. Nuff said.

The back bay has tremendous charm and potential. Its numerous visitors and activities are testimony to the importance for Boston. Unfortunately, however, the Back Bay falls short of its true potential in several ways. The poor traffic planning and infrastructure of the Memorial and Storrow...More

We took a guided boat tour of the bay. The boat was nice and big and the girl talking about the bay was very knowledgeable and had plenty of interesting facts to tell. It was well worth the money and we would do it again!!!
