Beautiful Venue

This is a classical theater. We sat in a box on the left to see a ballet. Too much of an angle as could see into the wings. Be sure to look around...amazing.

The theater is just the right size, not too big and not to small to see a small musical or performance. It is easy to get around with wide aisles and good size seats. The worst part of our night was the performance. It was a yearly Christmas Sojourn of Irish music and dance and it did not live up... More

My mother in law had frequented the Majestic with my lady and her sister since they were old enough to walk. Each year she would see Jose Mateo's Nutcracker around Christmas, and this year she invited my family to come along for the December 3rd showing at 7pm. The dancers were excellent, the theater wonderful and clean. We were very... More

I saw a show here over the summer and liked the venue. They have done a great job with preservation. Convenient location close to restaurants/bard for pre or post show visits and also very close to the T.

My husband and I attended Cuisine and Confessions. It was absolutely phenomenal. I am a long time actor and I am also a drama teacher. The performance was excellent and the theater space is beautiful. I highly recommend seeing a show here.

Went to see Cuisine & confessions, which is simply S P E C T A C U L A R.... And the theater is confortable and super decorated! Its a beauty! The seats are confortable, and you have enough space for your legs (not like NY). Wherever you seat, youll have an excellent view. Enjoyed the theater, enjoyed the play!!!

If you don't have enough legroom you must be over 6 feet tall and extra wide too. I have no tolerance for no legroom so I was concerned about these room complaints. I'm not sure where these "tight" seats are but we had more legroom than any theater or arena that I've been to ever. I will go back to... More

The theatre is comfortable with excellent sight-lines. There is really no bad seat. Until August 7th go see Cuisine & Confessions by the group Les 7 Droughts de la Main. It is a cross between dance, ballet, and Cirque du Soleil style a acrobatics and circus acts. They involve and engage the audience and mesmerized everyone in the theatre. It... More

As the promo says, come for the circus and stay for the banana bread. The Cutler Majestic is a vintage theater. How one feels about it generally depends on the performance. We go occasionally, most recently to see Cuisine and Confessions, performed by The 7 Fingers who invited us into the kitchen for a multi-sensory marvel. 7 Fingers is an... More

It is hard to focus on what's happening on the stage when your back aches and legs too. Feels like a trans-Atlantic flight in economy. Charging the ticket prices they are charging, indecent.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
