About
This historic Boston market has been around since 1826, and today has over a hundred pushcarts, shops, restaurants, and food court stops. Across the three market buildings (Quincy Market, South Market and North Market), you can find interesting coffees, artisanal bread, fresh seafood and of course, the Boston favorites: lobster rolls, clam chowder and Boston cream pie. Learn more about its history on a free guided tour by the city, or along with other historic sites in Boston on a walking tour. Located along the Freedom Trail, make a stop on the way to the New England Aquarium, Beacon Hill, and the Museum of Fine Arts. – Tripadvisor

The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

    Must See While In Boston
Quincy Market was one of my favorite places while visiting Boston. It was amazing to see all the different places to eat. There were so many options to choose from it was almost impossible to decide. From the Clam Chowder, pizza, desserts, you really couldn't go wrong. There are shops as well to look through which makes it a fun place to hang out in and enjoy the historic part of the market too. Definitely a must see on a trip to Boston.

    Great atmosphere
We had Quincy market on our "to-do" list when we visited Boston and I'm so glad we did. The architecture is beautiful, just look up. It was very busy when we arrived but I think it's always busy by the looks of it. We grabbed a Philly cheese steak and a drink and sat and watched the world go by while we ate. There is so many different food kiosks to choose from with such a lot of variety from Chinese noodles to pancakes with syrup, ice creams and curries. There are also lots of little "cart" style stalls selling all sorts of different things from wind chimes to Boston souvenirs.

    Great eatery
Great selection of food to take out and nicely decorated for the holidays. There’s some seating upstairs and also a few benches outside. Wasn’t too crowded when we went for lunch on a weekday in mid December. We had clam chowder and lobster rolls from Boston Chowda which were delicious.

    Not what I expected
The building and the staff working there were great, however you will need deep pockets to eat not only here but anywhere in Boston. If sea food is your thing this is the place to go. The big downside for me was the toilets here, they are disgraceful for tourist to use and need improvements. Having said that the lack of public toilets in Boston is an absolute joke to any tourists visiting

Boston Street Food at it's best
Great choice of fare, especially East Coast Seafood standards, Lobster Rolls and Clam Chowda soup. Only complaint is the lack of places to sit. Can of course blame the popularity. Do not miss, in fact one visit is not enough, there are enough good stalls to enjoy lunch there several times. Good quality food, excellent value for money.

    Well worth a visit
We visited here several times during our visit. It’s an interesting area to spend time and amazing to see all the great food on offer even if you don’t get the opportunity to try it. The area has a great atmosphere.

    Crowded
It's definitely a place to check out, and has a lot to look at and explore, but was extremely busy and not many places to sit and eat if any. Hard to move at times as well, and food was fairly expensive for what you get. Just be prepared when you go.

    Must Visit
This was my family's favorite place to visit each night. Great food options at affordable prices, everyone can eat what they want. Great atmosphere with live music and several shops, some unique to the Boston area.

Fun market with some rich history to enjoy
Located right next to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, to me was a lot more interesting. It has a totally different vibe than the rest of Boston. Loved the history and architecture of the building. Inside of course, is a giant market / food court with a ton of local food vendors to choose from. On the side of the building were your typical tourist vendors where you can get all different kinds of souvenirs. The market and surrounding area were definitely crowded and noisy. Street entertainment was also present. Although it did have a little bit of a tourist trap feel, it was worth it to go and spend a few hours.

Loads of interesting quick bites to try! If you are looking for best lobster roll I would go elsewhere, but many others were great. For example place serving tacos was excellent! Eating area is quite crowded, so in case weather outside is good I would prefer takeaway.

So many places to eat, too many to choose from. We hit all the seafood places being right there next to the wharf. Everything was fantastic and we barely avoided overeating!

You should go and have a walk through for fun. We watched some street performers and that was fun. We bought a few small gifts.

The greatest rip-of in the history of rip-of! Way overpriced, the food seems to be brought from Costco or Walmart. Yo do not see what you buy until after you pay. Horrible!

This might me the biggest tourists trap in Boston. All Boston blogs I read said that this was a must. So I was very eager to go. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Over Crowded. OVER PRICED!!! (1 skewer of scallops: $15.50 USD, 1 plate of Shrimps: : $30.00 USD, 1 SMALL Bubble Tea: $8.00 USD, Mac and Cheese $18.00 USD, Small Clam Chowder (disgusting) $10.00 USD….) This experience almost ruined our day. Non of us (4 people) enjoyed going there. Walk Through it to take cute pictures… but DO NOT EAT THERE. Not worth it at all!

If I'm right, this is inside Faneuil Hall Market. We ended up eating here for lunch with our 8 month old, we got Kong Dogs, and they were SO good. Overall, there are tons of options and places to eat, great environment and lots of people, fun place and clean, well kept. We would come back here to eat again.
Bathrooms are a bit hard to find, you have to take the elevator.

The building it worth seeing and inside is worth wondering through just to see all the food and retail vendors. If you’re looking for some seafood samples this is the place to find something for a meal or snack. I’ve also been in November and was there the day they light the Christmas tree made it all the more beautiful!

Our Canada/New England Cruise made a stop in Boston and I went alone to Quincy Market, I am old and short. Approaching the market I took this picture, not knowing that the guy standing on the steps, far right with pink shorts would be following me for the next 40 minutes. He acted weird and kept saying that I was his dad and wanted to give me a hug. He kept getting closer to me and I avoided him by asking people and vendors to help me call security. No one wanted to get involved. I was scared, rushed out, grabbed a cab and went back to the ship. I would not want this happening to any else ever!
