$10 for entrance into the National Park (or if you walk or bike in, it's $5 each). We didn't see anything much in the tide pools, but there's a beautiful walk with great views! I was told that it's important to go a bit before Low Tide. Sensible shoes would be good for the walks, but I was fine in... More

Definitely one of our favorites during our San Diego visit. Great photo ops at the monument on top of the point and at the tide pools below. Tips: *Arrive at monument 2.5 hours before low tide. Get your pictures and enjoy the view. *Head down to tide pools after about 30 minutes. You should beat the crowd to get a... More

My son recently took me to the monument of Cabrillo and he recommended toe tide pools. This is a spectacular event that happens on a regular basis. I would highly recommend this event / scene to anyone going to San Diego and wanting to see some nature.

Make sure you find out when low tide is or else you won't see the tide pools. It is a beautiful spot on the ocean down the hill from the Cabrillo monument in Point Loma

I was not sure what the tide pools were until we visited. Parking is limited but if you cannot find a spot in the first lot, keep driving cause there are 2 more lots. There are hiking trails all over, so you can decide how far you want to go. Adventurous people can climb down the rocks (we didn't have... More

Quite a masterpiece created by the relentless smashing waves. Tide pools themselves did not have much marine life at the time we went. Still great to walk along the seashore and explore. Parking is limited and may be a problem on busy days.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, even if it was cut short for other reasons. walking along the sea level cliffs, watching the ocean crash on the shore, seeing the tide pools and natural erosion of the the land. I can only imagine the area must be spectacular for sunsets. Great photo op location. Gotta go!

What a wonderful find this was. Totally unexpected but fascinating. It was an alien world and a great place to explore. I would definitely recommend this trip. I would love to visit this area again. Date visited was actually Dec 2015 but calendar didn't go that far. Wear good walking shoes as the area can be slippery and is also... More

We had so much fun at the tide pools! Be sure to check tide levels before visiting and arrive before the low tide and explore all the plant and animal life. We also found a few very knowledgeable and helpful volunteers who made this experience very educational for our family. This was the highlight of our visit to San Diego... More

A gem in SD's many places to visit and well worth the $10/ multiple day pass. Good hiking trails , 3 parking lots to choose from and on low tide, don't miss it!
