I've been going to Presidio Park for my entire life. It is a beautiful setting on a long hillside. the road to the top winds through the trees and open grass areas. There are several somewhat steep areas. Kids love them but may be difficult for people with limitations walking. Great place to grab a lunch and unwind.

This park is at old town quarter with the highest point , Junipero serra mission ( place for birthplace of Sandiego and California). The park can accede by car and walk. The trail provides interesting history of San Diego , fighting between mormon battalion and mexican troop, beyond the park , it's golf course with view of the old town... More

This was a lookout point of great military value and that can clearly be understood from the view. You could easily see a fleet or an army approaching. The grounds need work. It's a climb from old town that's worth the effort if you've got extra time.

As a child I remember it being so lush and my sister got married there but now due to the drought it is brown. The fort itself and reading the history is interesting.

Presidio Park sits on a hill overlooking Old Town, the West end of Mission Valley, and Mission Bay. The park and the Presidio mark and commemorate the first settlement, founded in 1769, of what would become San Diego and the base from which the Spanish would colonize California. This is a quiet and beautiful location for a walk and for... More

You step over and around many homeless people on the trails, and see their old clothes and other debris around the park. The park is pretty and green but the location right next and overlooking the freeway sort of detracts from the serenity. There is a little history and it is right next to Old Town, making it a convenient... More

We took the trail and steps from Mason St. in Old Town up the hill to Presidio Park, late on A December afternoon. The park, perfectly landscaped and maintained even in drought struck San Diego, was shaded, while the homes on the hills above it were in the sunlight. It had an unreal, kind of `middle-earth` feeling about it, especially... More

Situated at the top of a bluff overlooking Mission Valley, this is a small quiet park for a short visit or picnic. Not well used, a bit off the beaten track, we like it a lot. Don't miss a visit to Old Town San Diego while you are in the area. Some interesting exhibits and our favorite restaurant for Mexican... More

I ride my bike through this area and sometimes workout near the dog park fairly frequently. The neighborhood is very quaint and the park itself has a rich pine smell early in the morning around 6-7. The landmarks nearby aren't spectacular, but if you continue going south towards Ft. Stockton Blvd and Lewis st. You'll discover a very nice small... More
