I was carrying both a bottle of pepsi and normal sun cream, both were fine, it's just a quick glance in your bag at the entrance

The bus tour is an absolute must. I also highly recommend going into the 3D simulation of Mars.You may have a short wait as they only take a few people at a time, but it's worth the wait as it was a great experience. If you... More

If you purchase a 1 day pass can it be upgraded to an annual pass during your visit if you discover you need more time?

Yes, we did this exact thing. Go to the visitor center any time prior to leaving and you can trade in your day pass for an annual pass. It is really worth it!
