This is an easy to write review. This attraction is very well laid out, with a great variety of interesting coastal and ocean-life displays. Great for all ages and reasonably priced. There is a small cafe but it was closed during our winter visit. Recommended.

Visiting the Outer Banks in the middle of winter, my fiancé and I found that much was closed for the season, and so we were pleased to spend an afternoon exploring the aquarium at Roanoke Island. This may be smaller than aquariums in big cities, but it was also very affordable (our adult tickets were about $12) and more intimate...you... More

Had about a 2 hour winter stop off and really enjoyed it. Sea turtle rescue, otters, and iron ship exhibits were our favorite. Winter Saturday in Obx so we practically had a private showing. Staff were very nice and informative.

smallish aquarium packs some nice exhibits. everyone loves watching the otters in perpetual motion and the stingray touch pool. i did a backstage tour with the grandkid to see some more otter care stuff (costs extra, but worth it). the kid was really into it and asked a bunch of questions - all of which the guide answered well. the... I had been here once before with my husband about 6 years ago. I've noticed some changes/additions, and really enjoyed watching the otters and sharks go by in the "ship wreck tank." Lots of interactive exhibits for kids, and even a turtle hospital. We also enjoyed the touch tanks with the striped sharks and the sting rays. Otherwise, it's a... More

For years we visited this aquarium every year on vacation. We had a small break in attendance. Upon our return we found so many great additions. The sea turtle rescue / rehab area is worth the price of admission alone. We were arrived as they were doing a chat with the Diver in shark tank. So much fun.

Our group consisted of three adults and we had a wonderful time. We went during the off season (on a unseasonably warm day) and it was nice not to have to contend with giant school groups and tired children. We were able to spend our time with each exhibit and had a very informative chat with the volunteer at the... More

It was small, but very well maintained. I loved to see that there were a lot of local students there learning. The staff really caters to teaching the kids about their aquatic environment. Not very big, but nice exhibits. Super nice people work there.
