This is a sad little house on a sad little park. Little information regarding the house. The front door was padlocked, but a side, full length, window was missing. I wonder how long it will take for vandals to take it over.

Its a shame that Carlsbad can spend tons of money on new buildings while neglecting this fine old historical structure. There is trash every where and the landscaping obviously has no care. With all the water one would think Carlsbad could water the area. If...More

It's actually a pretty good historical place but it is apparently used as a lunch hang out and there is garbage strewn about. Still worth the look.

We made a special trip to see this historic site of the first house in Carlsbad and were so disappointed. The windows into the house have been broken, there was trash everywhere. The park is totally neglected and looks abandoned by the city. Shame on...More
