Great ferry tour to the island

The ferry tour to the statue is well worth doing, its a quick ride across and the statue is wonderful to see up close and personal. A must do when in New York!

We paid $18 to visit the island swarming with tourists like us lol. The saving grace for us is the visit to Ellis Island which is also included in the $18 ticket. The immigration history in the Ellis building was very interesting and we got to enjoy the place more.

We purchased "flex" tickets at Battery Park. This allowed us to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island via ferry. The price was very reasonable considering you could visit two places. The line was long but it moved fast. Be prepared to go through security similar to an airport. Not you cannot bring open liquids through security but... More

Such a beautiful monument!! A visit to the statue is a must. It is amazing to see how majestic it is and how they constructed it. The history behind it is very interesting. The ferry to the island is very convenient and the ride is smooth.

If you are not in the market to walk to its peak, the ferry will get you close enough for a plethora of pictures. Take the last ferry of the day and you will enjoy the gorgeous golden hour light as you round this iconic symbol of freedom.

We walked around the grounds and enjoyed the skyline from the island. Disappointed to learn the tickets to the Crown have to be purchased 2 months in advance. Our 12 yr old was very disappointed.

I was a chaperone for my daughter's class trip to NYC. I had never been before. It was a great place to visit. Just walking around the island was great. The views are spectacular. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go inside so I plan on going back with my family so we can go inside the statue. You have to... More

Warned guests that there is always a long line for Lady Liberty.... but with added security it is now a nightmare. The locker system and the general confusion makes a visit challenging to say the least. I advised pedestal access only.... there is a great museum which is unmissable there! However if you do pre book(you have to!) a visit... More

What many visitors do not know is that while they can show up and simply take a boat to LIberty Island, if they wish to actually climb inside the Statue, they must plan ahead to make and pay for alloted spots. The boat also stops at nearby Ellis Island. If you get off the boat, immediately reserve a space for... More
