I’m from uk so I’m see to “old stuff” but was really pleasantly surprised to stumble across this area whilst walking down from wall st towards the river
200 year old buildings wedged between concrete glass and steel
Turns out it’s one of the oldest parts of the city and has its roots in new Amsterdam the pre-British Dutch trading settlement on the tip of the island
Are at a great bar there called Broadstone also

We were just walking around looking for something to eat and stumbled upon this area. It is such a cute little area with a ton of restaurants back to back and you can eat in the street! I think this is the perfect location to go and choose something to eat if you are in the area!

Like stepping onto a film set for a historical film. I'm not sure how these buildings survived, but I'm glad they did!

No matter how it sounds crazy, this is the oldest part of this world megapolis, from where it all began. The almost only cobbled streets in NYC you'll find here.
It was pretty close to our hotel in downtown Manhattan so we visited several times.
During the day it's pretty boring and deserted, while it comes alive at night with many bars and small restaurants.

During the day, it is an historical quaint place to stroll and soak up the history. At night, it comes alive with music and bar hoppers. The best of both worlds.

Stone street is a historic street downtown with cobblestone streets. The restaurants, pubs and bars have some history. You can bar hop without walking too far.

This is a very short street of old historic brick building hiding among the skyscrapers of lower Manhattan. The buildings house mostly bars and restaurants and is not a far walk from Wall Street and the NYSE. Worth the walk, especially since there is no vehicle traffic.

It's a tiny section with just a few streets but it was worth the visit. I specially loved Stone St. because it still has cobblestone and old buildings that remind you of Europe.
I'm glad the city still preserved this relic.

This is a neat small historic street with brick road lined with restaurants and taverns. About half a block long and neat to see.

in the middle of the city. Many very good eateries located here. Cobble stone streets and many heated "outdoor" dinning areas.
