We have visited many art museums around the world, but I will say that this is one of my favourites. Just don't go on the weekend, especially on a long weekend! When I was buying tickets, they had a fee schedule, so I was prepared to pay the amount that was listed on the board, and then the young man... More

Best spent five hours in New York! After visiting Dakota building, took the bus across Central Park. The ticket price is what you want to pay!, Take guided tour, better way to learn more. Arms and Armor, European Paintings, especially Impressionists collections are impressive!

This place is great. I can't wait to go back. I didn't get to see everything and I was there for 6 hours. The Egyptian temple is totally awesome and a must see.

A must see for a history buff and for the common man. Worth all the time you spend there and it's strictly maintained on donations with no entrance fee.

One of the world's greatest museums. The number one NYC tourist attraction with good reason. The main museum has been joined by The Cloisters at the far upper end of Manhattan, medieval art and beautiful views over the Hudson. There is also a new section on Madison Avenue and 75th with contemporary art: the Breuer. It has a snappy restaurant:Flora... More

Although we concentrated on impressionist, post-impressionist and modern art, there is simply so much to see here that I wanted to spend much more time than the 2 days we'd planned. The museum is well arranged, so although there were lots of people, it was easy to get around and see what you wanted. Staff very helpful and friendly. Love... More

When I was growing up, the museum was free and I was a frequent visitor. Eventually, fees kicked in and I couldn't go as often. The collections are crowded (justifiably) and are world-class.

The MET is SO amazing that it's difficult to write a review, you simply need to go there and see for yourself. You will find all kinds of arts, from all over the world, different cultures and times in history. Be prepared to expend at least 4 hours there, it's completely worth it!

I've been to the Met several times and barely scratched the surface of what they have to offer. My advice is to get a copy of the layout and have a plan for what you want to see for that particular visit. And plan to come back.

This is such a beautiful museum, with so much to see and do it can be a bit overwhelming. If you are coming here with small children, definitely choose your itinerary carefully. Buying your tickets online is also a great time saver. All the staff here are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly.
