So much to see! Check for the current exhibits and enjoy the permanent galleries as well. In addition to masterpieces from classic American art to the Impressionists and Modern art wings, I really enjoyed the armor and my daughter loved the Asian collection. If you...More

Visited in January 2018 to see the Rodin and Michelangelo exhibitions, and walked around to view some of the other collections. It's a huge building worth visiting for the architecture alone, but the collections are amazing. Although both the Rodin and Michelangelo exhibitions were very...More

Everytime someone comes to NY to visit me they want to come here, kids don’t really like it and there’s too many tour groups around, but I enjoy it. It’s a great place to go if you visit NY and they have great events at...More

There is so much to see here! Here's a tip that we were told be a New York restaurant owner. The amount you pay is based on a suggested donation. He told us not to give them more than $2. He said his taxpayer money...More

Awesome visit! Spend hours with my daughter and niece showing both Michelangelo work, Van Gogh, Monet, and many others. Everyone should stand in front of each in awe. Thank you MET, couldn’t do it without you.

NYC is filled with wonderful museums, but the Met is one of only two or three that are must see quality. Be prepared to stroll through Central Park and walk down 5th Avenue. Make a day of it!!

I read the reviews before we went and picking up a map was very important for us. There is no way to see it all in one day unless of course you’re not looking at the individual pieces but walking through in a fast clip,...More

this place is amazing. Incredible collection of artefacts from the ancient and medieval world and art from thenuntil now. The Hoskney exhibit was sensational.

Don’t expect a quiet visit unless you find an esoteric collection. The museum has amazing art but the visitor experience leaves a lot to be desired.

We had about a 45 min freezing wait to get in. No lines for those exhibits once in the museum. We were three on 12/28/17.

The cafeteria in the Museum is as reasonable as you'll find -- a bowl of soup and a bread roll is filling, healthy, and reasonable. Otherwise walk down to Lexington Avenue and look for a diner. Even some fried eggs in this... More
