Erm, you have to make this visit if you're a first-timer in NYC but in the summer it's a bit of a disappointment. Dirty, loud and not particularly special. I would never book a hotel here either. So many other lovely areas in Midtown. Perhaps...More

Had some coffee and a snack on the table on Times Square and great to watch so many people around the world strolling, marching and singing. Saw people singing free prayers, a demo against trump's ban on transgenders in the army and even topless women...More

Truth be told, unless you love chaos, 5 minutes in Times Square was enough for me. It is a must see however. I don't recommend eating dinner around here because there are long waits and a lot of chain restaurants.

It really is a must see tourist spot, but for us locals, it's just a crowded mess and you can't avoid it if you're hitting a show. Expect to see tons of people!

Times Square has so many options that you can't even explore all of them. Broadway alone is a sensational paradise full of theaters, musicals, and a flood of lights, buzz, and people. Times Square has so many great restaurants, bright billboards, huge shops, and historical...More

Don't know why anyone would stay there. It's overpriced, overcrowded, and noisy.

I stayed half a block away at the Sanctuary hotel. Far enough to be away from the noise but less than a five minute walk to get there.
