The building is beautiful and the rooms inside are even better, each room has something different, when we visited there was a exhibition on retro. The museum is free to visit, the main reading hall is huge.

A beautifully crafted building offers a haven of peace and quiet in the middle of bustling New York. The main hall is recognisable from the movie Day After Tomorrow.
Just to stand and look at the ceilings in this place is amazing, tourists mix with members of the library moving round the different areas which are busy but not overwhelming
