The Meatpacking District used to be super popular in the mid 2000's. It was famous due to amazing restaurants and the famous Ganzevoort Hotel, where Sex and the City was filmed at. It still is quite popular.

A lot to see and do here. A lot of shopping, restaurants and places to grab a drink. The highline walk is a must do while in this area.

Meatpacking has a lot to offer. Some I don’t care for like the clubby restaurants and bars. But some good food, shopping, and other activities. Ample hills is delicious. Some street artists. And the Whitney.

At one time you would have been reluctant to come here because it was nasty and dirty during the day and dangerous at night. Now it is loaded with high end boutique shopping and expensive places to eat. Kind of takes your breath away.

We walked to the meatpacking district down the highline which was a lovely walk so got lots of sights of the old buildings and architecture, it is very trendy with some lovely bars and restaurants definitely worth a visit.

This area is one of the oldest parts of New York City. A cobblestoned region, has lovely bars, restaurants, cafes and wonderful shops. Lovely to walk thru, some very different and lovely buildings to see.

Walked thru this area on my way to Lower Manhattan. Looks old fashioned but with some history. Like the architecture of houses. Good restaurants around

Back in the 70's this district was disgusting. It was full of hookers, junkies and dealers. Now it is high end. There are name brand boutiques, classy restaurants, snobby hotels and trendy cafes. tourists love the place.

Use mass transit. It can be awful to walk in the hot summer all those city blocks. You can rent a bicycle.
