Walked the Highline Walk through the area and found it interesting to watch everything going on without having to be jostled and bumped and crowded. Trying to imagine back in the day how hard working men and women went about their day allowed you to...More

We have seen the changes here from a true meat packing district to the trendy shops and restaurants and it’s still a great place to explore

Less glizzy in terms of the buildings, but interesting trendy boutiques and eateries ... it gives you a feel of how immigrants lived in the 1800s ... real working class vibes ... also some cool street art

The Meatpacking District used to be super popular in the mid 2000's. It was famous due to amazing restaurants and the famous Ganzevoort Hotel, where Sex and the City was filmed at. It still is quite popular.

A lot to see and do here. A lot of shopping, restaurants and places to grab a drink. The highline walk is a must do while in this area.

Use mass transit. It can be awful to walk in the hot summer all those city blocks. You can rent a bicycle.
