Battery Park has some pretty amazing scenery not including the views of the Statue of Liberty. Overall The park is a good place to walk around while waiting for the Statue Ferry to open, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

We set to Battery PArk for The Statue of Liberty tours. This was a nice clean park with some neat facts. history, statues, live music, people dressed up and other performers.

Quiet place, trees around, not many people like the rest of New York. Good view and many open air small stores.

This lovely park is located at the South end of Manhattan. In a nice sunny day, the park is a nice place to enjoy the good views of the Hudson/Upper Bay, Ellis Island, Governors Island etc. I recommend going with a pair of Binoculars, especially to see the Statue of liberty with, or to watch the birds chirping around.
