I enjoyed the upper west side. It was a nice break from some of the busier areas of Manhattan. There is some beautiful architecture here along with some nice restaurants and shops.

Cute little spots to eat and shop, great people watching, great place to get in your daily 10,000 steps! We come here often just to get away from the tourist area.

One of the best (and oldest) New York's residential neighborhoods has been experiencing a revival of sorts in the past 20 years or so. New residential buildings are coming up, and the pre-war ones are being beautifully restored. And what about all the stores and restaurants on Columbus Avenue!

Went to a taping of The Chew with my wife, but did not have nearly as good an experience as the review here last year. Tickets are free and fairly easy to obtain. Arrived about 10AM to a line of about 40 people ahead of us. Stood in line outside til 10:45AM. Then admitted to staging room which lacked chairs... More

The Upper West Side is undoubtedly one of the more scenic (and affluent) neighborhoods in the City. Dotted with parks, boutique stores and great restaurants, it is truly one of the best spots to visit. The "brownstone" homes and apartments are gorgeous, and some of the most sought-after real-estate in the area. This is a fun place to visit and... More

Interesting architectural delights as many homes have converted to private dwellings and have been redone. Many public/private schools and churches of all denominations made this a most interesting ethnic neighborhood. Not too clean. Walk with eyes down to avoid doggy pooh!

UWS has the coolest restaurants, diners, stores, Pizza places & movie Theaters, we always go to Loews on 84'th & Broadway or Lincoln center area, tons of things to see while you stroll from Central Park West, Columbus Ave, Amsterdam Ave & of course Broadway up to Riverside drive. I always feel safe walking around alone or with my family.
