If you’re a white tourist, don’t go into Harlem. We walked around and stopped to look at the Apollo theater walk of fame and some guys (selling cd’s) were very guick to blame us for slavery. They were aggresive and called my girlfriend some very...More

Although nothing is Compared to Mid-Town Manhattan, Harlem is definitely a fantastic option if you want to know the Real New York. I strongly recommend to take Contrasts NY tour to visit Harlem, Bronx & Queens and experiment a real taste of NY.

Yes.. you need to walk through Harlem ( go on a walking tour) and learn about it's history. If only the streets could tell their stories. Visit a restaurant for authentic soul food and jazz singers.

As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has
played a vital role in the history of New York City.
Today, the neighbourhood is as vibrant as ever as new

bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and
historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with

Wanted to know about the flea market in Harlem. I've been told they have the best deals on shopping there in Harlem, just didn't want to pass in up. Everyone shopping for bargains these days?
