Great night in Harlem. We visited three different "joints" , different styles but all with great music and great atmosphere. Our guide, Gordon, was known and respected in each club and we were treated as honoured guests in each club. An experience to remembered.

I love the culture and history of Harlem. I felt like was walking and standing in the middle of history. I felt honored to be in Harlem.

Harlem is definitely worth the visit. Lots of old building like the court house that are neat to see and photograph. The Famous Apollo Theatre is located here in Harlem and if you are wanting to attend a good church service on Sunday Morning there is no where better to attend a service than right here in Harlem.

Originally when I booked my trip I was going to stay in Brooklyn. I noticed the AirBnB was getting bad reviews so I canceled and looked for another place. My choices were slim so I ended up getting a place in Harlem. Let me tell you this was a blessing in disguise. I stayed on 135th st off Frederick Douglass... More

The neighbourhoods and its architecture are not my style, it's a quite atmoshphere not surrounding by big buildings and people but didn't like it. There's nothing much to visit, except the Gospel. I strongly recommend to book a Gospel, because it's so popular that it's surrounding by many people and tourists, you could wait for 45min and can't enter in... More

We spent 3 nights in Harlem (in a vacation rental apartment) last November just after Thanksgiving. As a first trip to NYC overall, we had read about the quality of Harlem and we we pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere there. A great mix of old & new influences, rich & not so rich population, yet not intimidating, overwhelming or over-crowded... More

Interesting to learn how Harlem was settled. Has developed into a "safer" neighbourhood. Absolutely worth a visit.

Everything is basically within walking distance. So many restaurants to choose from! We were able to access resources and services quickly and experienced a good community vibe. From the barber shop (Big Russ) to restaurants great people and service. Lots of history and architecture. More frequent garbage pick up is needed. Harlem has a beautiful history that I learnt to... Harlem is very interesting only few miles north to Central Park. Best way to go there is take a subway to 125 th street. There is lot of shops, music clubs and local life.
