We wanted a tour for all ages and everyone was happy. Andrew taught us some history, architecture, gossip, celebrity tidbits and all with his easy friendly and charming style. We are a local family and learned much that we didn't know about our city. We chose the tour for our fun winter gathering and although it was 10 degrees, we... More

perfectly organized - reliable I met Andrew at the starting point and he showed us around midtown from the Port Authority Bus Terminal almost down to the UN headquaters. Andrew knows a lot about the city and it was a pleasure listening to him and the stories behind

I went on a tour with a group from my university. Despite the early morning hour (pick up for us was at 430 a.m.) and the cold weather we had loads of fun and learned a lot. The tour was well informed and witty and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who is coming to New York for a visit!

Having lived in NY for a number of years, we haven't had the chance to tour and learn about the city. This tour gave us the opportunity to learn all about Downtown Manhattan, from street names, to buildings and architecture, we really covered it all! We feel bad for the family of 4 who didn't show; they missed a really... More

Andrew was fantastic, guiding us through Times Square, east to Grand Central. We've been traveling to NYC for more than 10 years 2-3 times a year and have been on a lot of tours. Frankly, we didn't think we'd learn much more about this area of town and only picked this tour because of the time slot. Actually, we learned... More

We took the Wall Street and Ground Zero tour. Although it was in the low 20's while walking almost two and half hours outside while we are from Texas; Andrew the tour guy made it so interesting prevent me from passing out at the frigid cold. He kept it informative through arrays of stories and pointed out things you would... More

Took the Metrowalks walking tour of Greenwich Village, East Village, and the Bowery with Andrew yesterday. It was cold (in the twenties) and only four people signed up for the tour. Only two-- my wife and I--showed up. Andrew had little choice but to give us a personal tour. I am sure he might have rather gone home. Or he... More

I took the Grand Central and Times Square Walk. The route was great and the guide was excellent. The high point for me was the Public Library.

Andrew, our tour guide, is a former journalist who has done a thorough job of research to create the routes and scripts for these tours. He is articulate, flexible, and extremely knowledgeable. We were very pleased with our "Mostly Indoor" tour, which was perfect for a cold and miserable December day. Highly recommended.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
