Saks Fifth Avenue is the flagship store for the Saks group. Located opposite the Rockefeller Centre and Saint Patricks it truly is a great location.

Saks is the typical department store you can imagine in New York. It includes every major brands and is always popular among shoppers. Do come around Christmas to experience the festive vibe.

We were on a special mother daughter trip from London to New York and decided to treat ourselves to something special. So we went into Saks to look at some designer handbags first stop Dior! A rather dumpy snooty sales assistant greeted us & very quickly said to a younger male colleague "I think these are for you!!" And laighed!! How dare she assume that we were not worthy of being in that area in Saks. Unfortunately lady your loss!! We went on to purchase many lovely designer items elsewhere.

Okay since I can’t get Saks to respond to my emails and customer service requests I am running out of options so now trying a review. I placed an online order. I received it and it didn’t fit so I arranged to get a refund. A month after returning the item I still don’t have the refund and despite multiple emails and customer service chats I haven’t resolved it. This has been one of the worst customer experiences I have had. I will never shop here again! Last ditch effort to get help by posting a review

Lots of fabulous brands and some decent deals can be found in Saks. The looks, monitoring and following by staff we were subjected to was unseemly and inappropriate. Once we made a purchase it seemed the security detail moved on to others.

This is the best Saks Fifth Avenue in the US. It has the largest collection of apparel, handbags and accessories and the salespeople are incredibly helpful.
Located conveniently in midtown, walking distance to Bergdorf and Bloomingdales, Saks is still the pre eminent dept store in NYC.

As we where in New York we wanted to visit the world famous Saks of 5th Ave, the lady that greeted us at the main doors said welcome to Saks but her tone and her eyes said get out dirtbag we then felt we where being judged by all of the staff we didn't stay long. Bloomingdales was a much better reception just go there instead.

11/27/21 I placed an order for roughly 460$ worth of gear. I received a confirmation to that effect with a delivery date scheduled of 12/3 and the money charged to my card. I believed that would be the end of it and my items would be delivered as intended.
12/m1 I was informed they had cancelled my order no reason given. I called them back and asked the customer service team to reinstate and honor the previous agreement. After about an hour to an hour fifteen my order was reconfirmed with the agent. However she notified me that I would need to ‘pay at the current rate so the system would not reject my claim and that the price match back to the ~460$ amount would be initialized after the 24 hour mark. I reconfirmed with the agent multiple times and she left at one point to speak to a supervisor to confirm and I received multiple reassurances that this would be done but that it may take 14 days to see the refund take place.
i received my goods on 12/9.
12/14 I called to verify my promised price match and it turns out it was declined 12/10 but no email, call or notice given to that effect. I then spent another hour and a half with this person who claimed that it was turned down because of the first persons mistake when submitting (did not port over my original confirmation so they cited lack of evidence). I requested again to be priced matched correctly and the agent again confirmed it would be handled.
12/31 I called again to verify my money was going to be matched and returned. I was told again it would be matched And that she would make sure it happened and promised me a call back before the end of her shift because this requests are opened and handled quickly. No call received, voicemail, or email.
1/10 I called again - at this time no one had opened the request and I demanded to speak with a supervisor or manager.
1/14 I called and asked about my status and to speak with a manager immediately if it had not been initialized. I also inquired how long to expect a call from someone when a request to get a call from a manager typically takes she said under 48 hours. She would get a manager - after 37 minutes - she never returned.
1/19 I called this new individual confirmed that they declined it again (no reason given - no call/email to that effect and no manager/supervisor call). I demanded to speak with a manager at this point becoming very angry she told me to ‘keep it professional‘ ironic because there isn’t a single professional that works there that I has helped me. However to my surprise she insured I spoke to a supervisor after about 5 mins. Hip hip she came through. The supervisor offered the same platitudes that I was given previously ‘sorry for the inconvenience, that he understood similar things happened to him, that he understands why I felt lied to’ etc. He confirmed there was no way to get me thst agreed upon rate as it was not active In their system, to which I stayed ‘It was when I ordered it, was when the first few agents confirmed And that I only purchased these items due to the current rate’. I inquired why no one bothered to notify me, this was taking now over two months, why when I purchased and repeatedly asked the person to confirm the rate would be honored he had no response. His final offer was to give me a coupon for 20% off my next visit (which I get from their email system it feels like monthly), and there was nothing to be done about this order. I demanded to speak to a manager as he was a supervisor and he let me know he was as high as I could speak to. I told him they need to get someone immediately out to pick the items up and that my money returned he stated he could get me FedEx out to myplace tomorrow I demanded an 8-830 pickup as I had work (jumping ahead, I waited until 11am, no pickup attempt) he said he couldn’t promise it would be that time and did not want to lie to me again (implying he was aware his team lied tepeatedly to me and that seems to be quite fine for them) once they receive the items it would take 3-5 days to start the return and would take a full billing cycle (at this point I’ve already paid for the items, it hurt my credit score by 17 points and ruined my Christmas as they were intended to be presents that I could not give out)
1/20 - After the 8-830am window was missed. I emailed the service team around 1030 (1/20) to ask when the pickup would take place. I have yet to hear back. Turns out the pickup attempt was made at 6pm 1/20 According to FedEx. I emailed again 1/21 to share this information and ask when they would be coming by to get this items. That email is still un-responded to. According to FedEx, tried 6pm again 1/21.
I have submitted a BBB claim with resources, reached out to my CC for help, & am now placing social media reviews.
To confirm the amount should be ~460 was, charged $3,212. They owe me ~2900$

I believe it runs every 10 minutes, Daily starting 5pm to 11pm between 49th & 50th Sts. Best viewing is from Rockefeller Center and then you can check out the Christmas Tree!

I do not see a schedule online but it normally starts in late November, after the Thanksgiving Day Parade (also known as the Macy's Parade) on November 22nd. The Rockerfeller Tree Lighting takes place on November 28th. The Saks light show is daily starting at 5pm to 11pm and replays every 10 minutes at Saks on Fifth Avenue between 49th & 50th Sts. The best viewing is from Rockefeller Center!
