COME FROM AWAY is a new musical that should not be missed. The setting is Gander, Newfoundland the day all of the planes were grounded - 9-11. The community took in 7000 people and made them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. The play is about the human spirit; the music is rousing; the mood is joyful yet poignant... More

Forget the big, overblown musicals or star-driven plays that have taken over New York - COME FROM AWAY is the real deal. Funny, sad, clever, ingenious, truly theatrical - this is the one that you'll be telling your friends and family to see. And you'll never forget it. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!

We were very lucky to attend the opening night of this truly amazing show, and being able to do this on Broadway, well let's just say this crossed a couple of things off my wife's bucket list. Due to our excellent working partnership with one of Ontario's largest and most prestigious colleges, we were invited to the opening night as... More

Maybe I liked it because I'm Canadian but it was one of the funniest, well done musicals I've seen. This dramatizes how tiny Gander, Newfoundland accommodated the people on the planes diverted from US Airspace on 9/11. I hope New York theatre goers see this - we Canadians know that newfies are funny without having to try, and kind beyond... More

This was the PERFECT venue for Come From Away as it is an intimite theater. Aweome show in the perfect place. If you are tall, the seats in fron of you are close so be sure to get an ailse seat.

Saw The Humans, which was top- notch. My tickets were on the far left hand side of the orchestra and I knew they had a limited view of some of the stage. For most of the play, this was fine. However, I did miss a key visual at the end of the play which disappointing, but I was forewarned. I... More

I saw the play The Humans on Dec 28th at the matinee. Very good. Reminiscent of August Osage County but not so cerebral. Very well acted. DO NOT USE THE COAT CHECK. I handed two coats and a shopping bag to the man at the bar downstairs. I laid it across the bar and asked him if he could hang... More

Saw "The Humans " last night. Very entertaining but somewhat predictable dramedy of a thanksgiving dinner in Chinatown. The challenge was no intermission in cramped seating. Most useful tip check your coat and use the bathroom prior to the start of the play.

The theatre itself is great and I've had good experiences in the past, but the usher we had for The Humans was rude and nasty to EVERY person she had to interact with (about half of our side of the theatre. A bit of training on guest relations might be nice, since I heard someone say the usher at the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
