I really enjoyed this small museum. It is well signed and has interesting exhibits of the era it covers. The admission price is well worth it.

We paid for a private tour, to make sure we got all of the information about George
Washington! Our docent was very knowledgeable and sweet. The museum is a hidden gem. We also had lunch at the tavern, which is absolutely beautiful. Be sure to have the chicken pot pie- George's favorite!

Excellent small collection of Revolutionary War era George Washington-related artifacts. Excellent value.
I highly recommend having a drink or a meal at the tavern, as well.

Great experience for the whole family. We attended with two little ones and they enjoyed seeing all the historic drawings and the great dining hall. First time seeing swords and muskets.

Great little museum. About 5 rooms - you can do it all in an hour if you breeze through museums, though my dad had to be kicked out when the museum closed after 3 hours in there! Interesting Revolutionary history and artifacts.

Upstairs from the restaurant is a nice little museum. Admission is inexpensive and there’s lots to see! It’s so neat to see period furniture and artifacts in a historic location rather than some sterile museum. I really enjoyed the exhibits here!

What a lovely restaurant! It has a serene, old school atmosphere much like you would expect an 18th century tavern to be. Above the restaurant there is a museum that showcases where George Washington gave his 1783 farewell address — a must see for any history buff! The food was excellent although initially I was given the wrong dish by accident. This was quickly corrected by the attentive and friendly staff! I really loved my visit here, 100% recommend!

Yes, I agree an hour is about right. It is self-guided, so it kind of depends on how much you want to read.
