I don't think there is a "bad" seat in the house. Loved the show, the crowd control was well done. The bartender was great. I agree with the other reviewer about seating latecomers. I too was very miffed that although the show started a few minutes late, people were still being seated more than half an hour after it started,... More

Just went to see Wicked at the Gershwin Theater. The theater itself was great, very clean ad the staff was very nice. Wicked was amazing!! I've been trying to get to see this show for years and it was so worth the wait. It had me laughing, crying and was such a great story. The cast was unbelievably taIented.. I... More

I'm going to try separating out how amazing Wicked was and strictly comment on the theater. We had mezzanine seats and I have to say the view was spectacular. There was an ample number of bathrooms and concession stands throughout. It was definitely my best experience in a theater on broadway.

I was nervous about the seats we were able to get at the last minute, but they turned out to be amazing and worth every penny! You could see everything perfectly from the Mezzanine. I was overcome with the show. The cleanliness of the theater was to be commended as was the friendly staff! The specialty drinks were also tasty!

Came to the Gershwin to see Wicked. I bought the tickets over the web using a seating chart and I thought I'd be way off to the side (we were in the Rear Orchestra, Row T, seat 21 or so), but these seats were VERY GOOD. The seats may have been more to the Wall aisle than the Center aisle,... More

I've seen Wicked more times than I'd like to admit in theaters all over the world. Nothing compares to seeing Wicked at the Gershwin. The staff is always friendly, the seats are comfortable (but not a whole lot of leg room) and I've sat all over the theater and have yet to have a bad view of the stage. I... More

Thought this is the largest theater on Broadway it was full for Wicked the night we went. The staff was friendly and the seats were comfortable. Way finding was easy. While the show drives the theater for many, this one is very nicely maintained.

Got advise from a couple from Scotland about going to the theater of my choice to obtain tickets - better pricing! So right! Actually was able to get GREAT seats for so much less than was quoted at tourist places that wanted to sell you tickets. I was also told I could not get one on Wednesday - which was... More

I can't fault the theatre itself or the show in any way as both were magical, however, after paying over $300 dollars for tickets I do not appreciate that even after an hour in to the show people were being ushered in that had arrived late blocking the view of a show that should be appreciated. Back in Scotland, where... More

Wicked at Gershwin Theatre wont' disappoint... it helps that Wicked is one of my favorite shows, but seeing it at Gershwin was a delight. Plenty of leg room, a large upstairs area, and of course the show was excellent. A must!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
