Perfect hideaway in the middle of the city! It's peaceful, quiet, well kept, and charming. There's lots of benches that blend with the natural scenery, beautiful views and lots of natural inclines and stone steps.

The Shakespeare's Garden is located in the middle of Central Park! It's a good choice for a sunny day

Really is a gorgeous setting. My brother in law & his wife had their nuptials there...it was one of the few cooler days in July. It was a small ceremony, so perfect setting. A side note though...while it is gorgeous it is also right next to the highway. You definitely need to schlep with an amp and speakers. ...Also my... More

This is a beautiful garden in Central Park. It is a hidden treasure on the way to Belvedere Castle. :-)

So glad my wife wanted to see Belvedere Castle. On our way, we stumbled upon the beautiful brilliance of Shakespeare Garden and were were simply amazed and thankful to behold this beauty upon the lovely hill side in Central Park. We sat down for a while to enjoy this beautiful area and witnessed several photo opportunities happening within feet. We... More

Nothing in Central Park quite matches Shakespeare Garden, which is nestled below Belvedere Castle on the west side of the Park near the 79th Street entrance. Sit quietly on a bench or meander up the hill to see the variety of flowering plants that explode at this time of the year. Truly one of the City's hidden treasures.

Beautiful part of Central Park. The garden is great with nice benches to enjoy the flowers - all of them mentioned on Shakespeare's work.

The entire park is gorgeous, but Shakespeare Garden is my favorite spot. Its quiet, never crowded and the garden is planted with flowers found in a traditional English Garden. There are stone footpaths that meander through the tiered garden with wooden benches along the way, so you can sit and rest while enjoying the ambiance of this beautiful garden. A... More

I didn't realize that when you visited that they have actors wandering around acting out Shakespeare's plays. Very fun cheap afternoon:)

We happened upon this delightful spot in Central Park on a beautiful spring day. The tulips and other spring flowers were out in full bloom. The winding paths draw you in and up, the framed views of the castle, the turtle ponds, and the occasional plaque with quotes from the Bard's works among the flower beds invite you to linger....
