Listen to some great music and admire the toilet art. It's not cheap but you wouldn't expect a world famous music bar to be cheap. Music Icons have played on that very stage. Enjoy.

The venue seems like it would not have been that great at first. The 8person band had a few lame jokes, but once they got to playing it was an amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend it. Each band member had their own solo and everyone had a different style- blues, 80s, soul , reggae. Such a good late night spot for... More

I booked for St Patricks' day and it was awesome. All U2 songs played very cool. you have to book before going (15 $) , it's always fool. two shows during the evening. If you have to follow the second show after attended the first you have to pay 7 bucks more. Waitresses are always checking if everything is fine,... More

Some friends took us here for beers and live music. Nice evening watching the house band play a diverse cross section of music from reggae, funk to rock. Cover was $15.

Café Wha was somewhere we were always going to visit whilst in NYC because it was highly recommended from a music point of view... if you want somewhere to have a nice romantic meal and a load of beer then this is not your place. If you love live music from genuinely skilled musicians and seek out good atmosphere and... More

Discovered Cafe Wha? while trying to find things that I could do while travelling with my teenage daughter. We enjoyed the amazing and talented house band on a Sunday evening when the basement club is open to guests under 21. The music was great. The band makes a personal connection early with the audience. The venue is smaller so you... More

We had a blast and the resident band is tremendous. They play a broad range of music flawlessly and the crowd is relaxed and fun. Buckets of beer are fairly priced as well!

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
