When so much has changed it's nice to see and return to places that mostly stayed the same. After spending a day downtown at the WTC where so much had to be rebuilt, it was great to revisit this park that we loved when we...More

Riverside Park is narrow but grand. You can get right next to the water around 100th street, feel a breeze and forget you're in NYC. There are also nice clay tennis courts at 96th street and asphalt courts at 125th St.

You've seen portions of the park in films like "You've Got Mail" but walking it, breathing in the air of the Hudson River and the flower beds is better. Also watch locals sun bathe or walk their dogs. Squirrels will beg.

Nice riverfront park, with plenty to do, or not. Just being there, away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan is a relaxing experience. It makes you forget for a moment you are still in New York City.

riverside Park has certainly cleaned up it's act! It is a vibrant family focus park that sits between a bedroom type neighborhood and the Hudson River. We walked the section from Columbia University (maybe 120th Street) down to 96th Street. It was clean and tranquil,...More

We had some time to kill before the afternoon matinee on Broadway and decided to go for a stroll in Riverside Park, entering somewhere around 100th Street just off West End Avenue. Although my wife and I have visited New York regularly for decades--and even...More

If you start at the north end of NYC, walk right down Riverside drive, there are lots of small interesting parks, culminating in this one. People here are very proud of their parks, and it shows.

A nice park to relax and unwind in, sit on a bench and view the Hudson River. Quiet in areas away from the noisy West Side Highway, it's the West Side's alternative to Central Park. A few descent sculptural works, and leads to Grant's Tomb.
