I went to Symphony Space to see the live recording of a new radio show, Tell Me Something I Don't Know. It was a great night out, the theater is a perfect size and there is a bar/restaurant attached. All in all, the venue and the show made for a great NYC night!

There are two theaters come one thing over 250 people, the other about 100. Acoustics and both are excellent. Today I attended a One Day University program in the big theater which lasted from 9:30 to 4:30 with four excellent presenters. There really isn't a bad seat in that house.

Wonderful program. Wonderful readers with terrific stories. The price of a first rate ticket was only $30. Beautifully done.

Went here to watch the Wall to Wall Stephen Schwartz concert on April 16th! (Excellent show by the way) Nice seating, great sound, cool venue and very nice staff. It's located uptown so not as busy which is great for a place like this. It's near the 96th Street station which is a bonus and there's a small bar attached... More

Symphony Space is becoming a real special attraction for the Upper West Side. I remember playing there in the 80s, and remember the excitement we all had in our ensemble. I have since been to concerts and events there, and have performed twice over the course of the last three years. This past time, I have noticed great improvements on... More

I love that this theater is not part of the mainstream theater district since it is on Broadway and 95th. The programming is also not mainstream. I have attended 2 events there and enjoyed them both. Be sure to pick up their annual calendar to fu d events you will not find anywhere else!

Located uptown and away from the hustle of md-town, this theater books an eclectic mixture of shows and performances. It's not a huge place and so the charm. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. A book sale was being held in the lobby when we attended the Kaleidoscope of Ukrainian Dance. On the corner of 95th and Broadway there... More

I went here with a friend to hear a bass jazz concert. It was held in the lower theatre which was a perfect venue for this performance. The seats were very comfortable and the staff welcoming. The Jazz performance was everything we expected and more. The was a small cafe on the same level, but we did not have enough... More

Symphony Space has music, comedy, lectures, simulcasts, and movies. Not mainstream stuff, the artsy stuff.

The Met's famous HD Live performances are shown in many theaters around the World. Transmissions from the Royal Opera House are less easy to find. We live in Connecticut, and not a single theater was showing the production we wanted to see (The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny). Our nearest choice was between two theaters in New... More
