After spending nearly a week in NYC accompanying my wife having surgery at a nearby hospital, I needed to find a place to unwind for a couple of hours. Stopped in late on a Thursday night and much to my pleasure there was an excellent guitar duo playing that night. Just what the doc ordered! I decompressed over a couple... More

I love cover bands!!!! This place has one almost every night. Fri and Sat is a guaranteed good time. Younger scene but you kind of forget that everyone is 23 when your jumping around to 3rd eye blind songs

Fun place and great live music but usually either dead empty or insanely over crowded where you literally can't move. Bit of a scene at times.

We were looking for a place to go for food and music So we go to Session 73 around 9:30 PM with a female friend of mine. We sat at the bar and ordered food. Food took a long time to come out but perhaps that was for the best as the band took even even longer to start playing.... More

I went to Session 73 with my boyfriend last Friday night. We had a great time. We arrived around 11:00-11:30 and the bar was about 3 people deep. There was a cover band just warming up. My boyfriend ordered a beer and I ordered the Upper East Side Cosmo. Several UES Cosmos later, the bar was PACKED and the band... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
