We loved this show! First time to see it in NYC and the cast from young to older were spellbinding. We chose a matinee and it was filled with grandparents taking their grandchildren to the performance. Mom's and dad's, too. The children attending were dressed in sparkles and tutu's and velvet. Great to watch. The show was festive and gorgeous... More

Went to the matinee performance and it was wonderful. Beautiful theater and amazing dancers. We had wonderful seats with great view of the stage in orchestra seats row P. Great way to start the holiday season.

Went to NYC on a bus trip after Black Friday and instead of the usual seats at a musical, we chose to see the Balanchine choreographed classic: The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet. The orchestra, as to be expected, played like the best in the world that they are. The scenery and costumes and snow... More

We recently took our 6-year-old daughter to see The NYC Ballet's Nutcracker to begin our holiday season. It was absolutely stunning and worth every penny. We sat in the center of the second row in the first tier. I felt like it was an amazing view of the production, but have not viewed this production from the orchestra seating so... More

Fall fashion gala opening took five new dances and added a designer twist. Each dance was introduced with a short film explaining how the choreographer and a fashion designer of his/her choice created the costumes, and then the dancers came on stage -- in the costumes. Attending one of these gala events is great. You don't need to spend an... More

The opening ballet, Gatherings, was overly long and the choice of Chopin music forgettable. The dancing was superb though. The Firebird ballet was excellent and dazzling. The costumes were gorgeous and the dancers were excellent. The orchestra was also terrific. The whole interpretation of the story and Stravinsky's wonderful music was divine.

Excellent dance theater venue. We were enthralled by the choreography and dancers performing to Dance Pieces by Phillip Glass. Also, the same evening Thou Swell by Richard Rogers. Fabulous!

Those visiting Manhattan in the Fall should make the NYCBallet apart of their agenda. For the last five years, the organization has paired contemporary choreographers with fashion designers to create unique preformances for the fall season. Lincoln Center's David Koch theather is a vision in architecture. Though a chilly night outside the venue, the excitement for the show kept all... More

Attended with a friend visiting from out of state. She was not sure she wanted to see ballet (would she like it, be bored, fall asleep). It was delightful. The venue is beautiful (including a changing art exhibition area), the dancers clearly world class. We had a bonus of an educational talk by directorial staff. super bonus!
