I went to see the Nutcracker ballet whilst on a trip to New York from Scotland, I was really excited about going, but I must say I wasn't very inspired after watching the performance, I am no ballet expert, but the formations on stage weren't...More

We saw the nutcracker ballet on Christmas Eve. The sets and costumes were beautiful, the dancing underwhelming. The pas de deux with the sugarplum fairy was so unstable that it was unsettling to watch. There were several moments when I though the ballerina might fall...More

Let me preface this by saying I'm trying to give an honest review unbiased by emotion. Having said that, I am a huge ballet buff and seeing NYCB perform The Nutcracker was high on my bucket list. It was performed in the Lincoln Center, which...More

We went to see the NYC ballet performing the Nutcracker. It was amazing and so beautiful. I loved the amazing costumes and the orchestra was fantastic. The whole production was breathtaking. The dancers themselves were so graceful and truly talented.

This is the best part about NYC. There are no fluffy tutus and tiaras here that everyone seems to be afraid of. I go here all the time and am amazed every time I go. Don't bother with any other New York dance groups. This...More

When I lived in New York, for 33 years, I attended performances of the New York City Ballet on a regular basis. They never disappointed. Now that the former New York State Theater is named for David Koch, I would not set foot in the...More

We saw the NYCB "Innovations" this week and we were "blown away." Each and every piece was dance at it's best. No fill in this set of extraordinary pieces, just excellent performances of individual performers being asked to give that extra amount. You know those...More

Lincoln Center is something to see! We saw a matinee 'just for fun' and stayed for the first 2 acts. They are talented performers but the performance wasn't quite what we expected. Perhaps and actual show might have been better than the 'just for fun'...More
