I've been to this music venue that has been at the same place since the 1970s on another occasion. It has a $10 cover charge on most days, but it's worth it for the quality bands that can be heard on this stage. It's a...More

Stumbled upon this place in Chelsea by accident and heard live music so we stopped and headed in. We were charged a $10 cover (the thug on the door told us $20 but he would let us in for $10). He fastened a red wrist...More

The full bar. Always a lot of people. Whenever there's a band performing it's extremely loud there. But the environment is awesome overall.

This place had a good vibe to it. Lots of tables and chairs to sit and watch live bands. $10 cover on a Friday night. Great service! Expensive drinks.

We went there to see a friend's sister, Mary Edeen perform and it was an excellent atmosphere. It's a great way to enjoy Greenwich Village at its best.

I had not been in this place in years when I went to see a local Blues band ("Renee and the Derelicts" - excellent! If you ever get a chance to hear them). I went in to hear what was happening music-wise. The Bitter End...More

Maybe TA will not approve this but I did enter the place - so have a feel for the atmosphere and surroundings. A sound man was setting up about a half-hour before the official opening - the front door had been left ajar and he...More

At my very core, I'm a live music junkie. And, a forever young Rock 'n Roll fan. The Bitter End is like Mecca. All you have to do is walk into the place and see all the pictures behind the bar of everybody that's performed...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

Do I need to book in advance or just turn up? First visit to NY and USA so don't know how it all works. I normally do Africa which I understand. Sorry if I seem a bit stupid on this but any info would be great.

Hi, I don't think so because it's a licensed bar and drinking age is 21 in NY.
